Story of great women with great ideas...How sanitary pads could change the life of million of women

Yesterday coming back from NY I was reading a great article on the NYtimes magazine.
A 33 years old woman, Elisabeth Scharpf, decided to start producing bananas fiber pads for Rwanda's women.
Normal pads are definitely to expensive for local women. They can not afford them. For this reason during their period they have to stop working or going to school. We all know how uncomfortable could be the " period". A little bit of stomach ache, headache, the need of ladies room or simply being   in the middle of no where without supply can make our day a nightmare. So can you imagine how it could be for these women where their social condition and dignity is definitely not the best in the world?
In a century where women empowerment is becoming a key feature this simple idea  is  great and revolutionary. It can really change their life since they're young. Being able to go to school without feeling embarrass means progress.
If you have time watch the video or read the article in the times.

Naturally if you have friends working for Education/Health NGOs in Africa or Asia, please  spread the word.  This project should be known from everyone.
